About this Directory

This directory lists organizations that support mental health, substance use, recovery, and overdose prevention in Richmond, Henrico, and surrounding areas. Information is provided by organizations and updated regularly.

Eligibility Requirements

To be included in the Resource Directory, an agency/provider must meet all of the following criteria:

• Service / Mission Alignment: Provide services that support behavioral health, mental health, substance use, recovery, harm reduction, or overdose prevention
• Geographic Relevance: Serve residents of Richmond, Henrico, and/or surrounding areas through in-person, mobile, or virtual services
• Operational Status: Be currently operating and able to accept referrals, inquiries, or waitlist requests
• Submit complete and accurate service information through the directory update form
• Maintain verifiable contact information and respond to periodic update requests to keep listings current

Organizations Will Not Be Included If They:

• Do not provide behavioral health or substance use–related services
• Only offer informal support without clear structure or accountability
• Are no longer operational or cannot be reached after multiple contact attempts
• Require participation in religious activities as a condition of receiving services
• Submit incomplete information and do not respond to follow-up requests
• Not in compliance with applicable certifications or licensing requirements

• Being listed does not guarantee referrals or funding
• Community members are encouraged to contact organizations directly to confirm eligibility, availability, and fit
